Learn to sail at Island Barn Reservoir, East Molesey.The Trysail adult course starts Tuesday evenings from 8th May. Enquiries can be made via the website www.islandbarn.org or by telephone on 0870 765 2628.

Island Barn Reservoir Sailing Club Celebrate 50 years’

Island Barn reservoir sailing club in East Molesley celebrated its 50th Birthday on the 5th July 2009.

Over 40 Boats completed in the morning together with a junior race event followed by lunch where over 100 guests enjoyed a hog roast.

In the afternoon the younger members of the club had a great time on the water competing in various fun races.

The commodores wife Mrs Helen Pettit presented the prizes to the winners with Peter Curtis in an RS600 winning the Commodore’s Plate, 2nd was Gareth Griffiths in a Solo and 3rd Graham Hughes in a Graduate.

The junior winner (of the Rotary Cup) was Tom Newman in a Topper.
